Saturday April 20th 2024 is Record Store Day, the seventeenth annual celebration of record shops.

Drift will be open from around 9am on the day. We would expect there to be a queue. The weather looks nice. We’ll be serving people a couple at a time inside the shop, and if you have any lists, that is helpful. We will be stocking about 150 of the exclusive titles and you can browse them here. If the product you are looking for is not in this collection, we will not have it on the day.

All the standard rules (one copy per person, no reserving, etc) apply and you can read the code of conduct that we agreed to here.

Any remaining products will be available for sale on our website Monday 22nd April at 8pm. Drift will also be open for shopping in person on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd.

Alongside some great records (Gene Clark, SFA, Captain Beefheart, Parliament, Pharoah Sanders, Katy J Pearson, Prince Far I, Nancy Sinatra), 420 is one of our favourite days of the year, plus it’s Connor Drift’s birthday so we’ll be having plenty and he will be accepting gifts.
